  Role and Responsibilities Technical QA/QC Senior Architect/Engineer

  The Technical Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Senior Architect/ Engineer has the responsibility for implementing; developing and maintaining the approved technical quality Manual for TEKNO. He is under the direction of the Design Manager (DM), In addition he is responsible for and able to:

  • Responsible for document’s technical QA/QC (Drawings, reports, etc) of the complete project.
  • Implementation of technical QA/QC check lists.
  • Ensure company technical standards as outlined in Project Quality Manual are effectively implemented.
  • Coordination with the Engineers and/or internal departments on technical quality-related matters as required.
  • Review and implements project-specific procedures.
  • Consolidate and maintain all technical quality issues in collaboration with project team.
  • Communicate technical Quality Objectives and technical Quality policy to all Relevant Authorities.
  • Develop and determine all standards and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
  • Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with clients to control the quality of all systems.
  • Manage, control, and monitor all activities related to technical Quality.
  • Liaise with Clients with regards to quality execution and planning of the works.
  • Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws in relation to quality.
  • Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers etc…), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of quality aspects of the works.
  • Preparing reports as required.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the technical QA/QC system when required.
  • Coordinate all technical QA/QC activities with HODs and company management.
  • Coordinate all technical quality related correspondence with clients.
  • Collect, act on and close all customer quality complaints.
  • Prepare and control the project technical quality system management documentation and forms prior to project commencement.

  • Externally with client’s QA/QC and all related QA/QC bodies/authorities.

  Role and Responsibilities Senior QA/QC officer

  The Senior Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) officer has the responsibility for implementing; developing and maintaining the approved quality management systems for TEKNO. He is under the direction of the Design Manager (DM), In addition he is responsible for and able to:

  • Organize, implement, conduct and manage the Quality Management System as per the Company policy, contracts specifications, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Perform activities such as document control and quality records management, and other related procedures.
  • Ensure that the documents (Drawings, reports, etc) of the complete project are complying with the approved QA/QC format.
  • Implementation of QA/QC check lists.
  • Ensure company standards as outlined in Project Quality Manual are effectively implemented.
  • Coordination with the Engineers and/or internal departments on quality-related matters as required.
  • Review and implements project-specific procedures.
  • Consolidate and maintain all quality documentation in collaboration with Quality Document Controller.

  1. Roles and Responsibilities

  2. Responsible to manage and oversee the planning, design/engineering, coordination and implementation, control and monitor the MEP Designing proposal such as Electrical, ELV, HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Gas, Fire Protection and Fire Alarm Systems.
  3. Knowledge in all types of mechanical electrical, plumbing systems, building automation systems, energy conservation programs and utility distribution, possess the ability to function in stressful situations and respond to emergency conditions.
  4. Ensure management of the MEP design process in accordance with company policy, procedures and the Design Management Plan.
  5. Develop the MEP Project design brief (concept) and maintain by regular review.

  Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years Mechanical Engineering Design Experience from a Design Office Background.
  • BSC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification in Building Services.
  • REVIT MEP Modelling.
  • Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems design experience.
  • Mechanical design software experience. (Ideally using Hap/elite software, Pipe sizing, Pump/Fan Selection, etc).
  • Domestic water services design experience.
  • Fire Fighting System Design Experience.
  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of current legislation e.g. Building Regulations & Standards (ASHRE, SMACNA, IPC, CIBSE, BS EN etc).
  • Ability to work to deadlines.

  Key duties of the role include:

  • Assist in managing Design Projects.
  • ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Preparation and development of calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents relating to the project’s designs.
