Tekno Consultancy was deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Omer Mohamed Salim and his wife Marie-Louise Salim ; and extends heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family and colleagues. Dr. Salim was a founding member of Tekno Consultancy, and co-led it with devotion to excellency for more than a decade. Marie-louise Salim was the consul of Sweden in Sudan in the nineteen seventies and has served Sudan and its people with all the devotion as a loyal citizen.
Dr. Salim was known for his wise leadership and decency among his colleagues and students. He participated in building post-independence Sudan, and had filled many academic and professional roles, since his graduation from the Department of Architecture, University of Khartoum in 1963, of the second batch of the newly established department at that time. He became the second Sudanese lecturer in the department after receiving his Masters and Doctorate degree from Liverpool in 1978. He headed the architecture department, in the University of Khartoum from 1978 to 1980.
Dr. Salim continued his devotion to work and participated in many local and international projects, providing his expertise and transferring knowledge. The descendant was awarded, the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Sudan position for many years.
Dr. Salim will always be remembered for how he enriched lives of the ones who had the advantage to interact with him. We believe that his legacy is an inspiring story, full of challenges and success, from which we can learn and continue achieving our goals with trust.
