This project is one of SSIA’s real estate development projects, and one of the short term goals set to help support young entrepreneurs, encouraging them to invest in the agricultural sector.
Project site is located in Soba Sharq area, in Khartoum, and provides a unique chance for urban farming,
and would act as a pilot project for this kind of investments.
Its 100 acres plot, was dedicated to the purpose, to provide a sustainable gated community, of sixty low-cost family housing unit, inside each farm.
Sustainable/green master planning, privacy, security and shared amenities were major design definers, to provide a socially responsive environment, within the communal living context.
Master plan components are, sixty farms, farm housing units (one villa per farm/plot), green houses zone (to be leased), farmers market (a weekly vegetables & fruits market located on the main road), cold & dray storage units.
It also has a nursery, hypermarket, a main public park and smaller green open spaces.
The community has a clinic too as well as facility management offices and the Farmers Excellence Center unit, for farming related support, to be provided by SSIA
